DESCRIPTION:The EBLC Housing Task Force is excited to host David Garcia\, Policy Director at the UC Berkeley Terner Center for Housing Innovation\, at the December 4th Task Force meeting. Join us for a robust discussion about the status of local\, state and federal housing policy as we gear-up for the 2020 legislative sessions. \n\n\n\nRegistration is required for this meeting. Lunch will be provided\, and space is limited. \n\n\n\nAbout our Speaker:\n\n\n\nDavid Garcia is the Policy Director for the Terner Center. He leads the center's engagement in local\, state and federal housing policy and supports the generation of research-driven policy ideas\, proposals\, and papers.\n\n\n\nPrior to joining the Terner Center\, David worked as the Chief Operating Officer for Ten Space\, a real estate development company in Stockton\, California focused exclusively on infill projects in the downtown neighborhood. As COO\, David managed various aspects of the development process\, including development agreements\, environmental review\, and project design. \n\n \n\nDavid holds a Bachelors of Arts from the University of California\, Los Angeles as well as a Master's in Public Policy from the Johns Hopkins Institute for Policy Studies in Baltimore\, Maryland.
