What’s simmering in Sacramento?
The state legislature and governor have completed legislative actions for this year. But, some initiatives were carried over as 2-year bills into 2018. What was accomplished this year and what does it mean? What will be the anticipated activity next year? Will a proposed water tax resurface and how would it be administered? Earlier this year we had an informative discussion about legislative activities and this meeting will be another update and preparation for next year’s advocacy program.
Our returning guest is Catherine Freeman, Chief Consultant to the Assembly Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee. Please come and learn about the 2018 political environment about water. Is the drought really over?
