Water resource issues continue to be discussed within the Delta region. One agency, the North Valley Regional Recycled Water Program (NVRRWP), has adopted a water recycling program to serve its agricultural members. Following more than eight years and countless hours of preparation, the NVRRWP is under way on the second and final phase of construction. It is the largest water recycling project of its kind in California to stabilize agricultural water supply reliability on the west side of the Central Valley and to further deliver a supplemental environmental water supply to local designated wildlife refuges.
Our guest will be Ms. Anthea Hansen, General Manager of the Del Puerto Water District, located near Paterson. She earned a BS degree in Agricultural and Managerial Economics from UC Davis and then a MBA at California State University-Stanislaus. She is an active manager and a customer of the federal USBR Central Valley Project. Please come and listen to another perspective about reliable water supplies and the use of recycled water.
