Our main topic will be the scientific work and activities of the San Francisco Estuary Institute (SFEI). Another example of how science is helping to influence water policy. SFEI was created in 1986 and has been transformed into one of the most respected aquatic science centers. It was formed in an
era of confrontational regulatory policy debates about the quality of the Bay.
Now, it is acknowledged as the home of well-reasoned scientific information about the Bay environment. How did it happen?
Our guest will be Mr. Warner Chabot, Executive Director. Please come and learn about about their programs to learn more about the estuary and its ecosystem.
