Please join EBLC’s Infrastructure Task Force to hear from BART's Director of Transit-Oriented Development about current and upcoming housing projects shaping the East Bay and broader region. This meeting will provide an overview of project details and timelines as well as key considerations around parking, transportation, and last-mile connectivity. The discussion will also cover ongoing barriers to development, such as funding, infrastructure constraints, and policy challenges, and how regional and state policies are influencing project delivery and outcomes.

Kasheica McKinney is the Director of Transit-Oriented Development at BART, where she oversees the planning and implementation of mixed-use, equitable developments designed to promote sustainable growth, increase ridership, and deliver meaningful community benefits in station areas. In this role, she works closely with municipalities, developers, local governments, regional partners, and BART’s Board of Directors to advance complex projects from vision to realization. McKinney brings a multidisciplinary background to her leadership, drawing on extensive experience as an attorney, as well as in government relations and real estate development. Her work reflects a commitment to aligning transit investment with inclusive, community-centered growth.
