Join the East Bay Leadership Council for a special joint meeting of the Infrastructure and Opportunity Task Forces for a panel discussion with representatives from EBLC member companies including Habitat for Humanity, Kaiser Permanente and the Trinity Center focused on the undeniable link between housing security and health.
Without a safe place to call home, it's nearly impossible to focus on basic health and medical needs, let alone advancing education or career goals. This connection is made more severe when you consider the range of conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work, and age — these conditions are referred to as the social determinants of health. Understanding all of these social determinants is critical in achieving health equity for all.
We hope this conversation will further inform the East Bay Leadership Council's continued housing advocacy and help create a healthy and thriving East Bay.
