Dr. Priti Patel is the Chief Medical Information Officer at John Muir Health, a not-for-profit health care organization in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has been practicing family medicine since 2002 and began her career in clinical informatics in 2012 during the implementation of John Muir Health’s first enterprise-wide, electronic health record. In the years following, she obtained board certification in Clinical Informatics and served as the Associate Chief Medical Information Officer. She advocates for the needs of clinicians and is passionate about developing and implementing innovative digital tools to deliver safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care. Dr. Patel earned her B.S. in Bioengineering at Columbia University, and her M.D. from Albany Medical College, and completed her residency at the University of New Mexico.
