About Our Speakers:
Justin Waples, PE, ENV SP, PMP, Planning and Applied Research, Central San
Justin has 28 years of experience in the engineering industry, including public, private and defense sectors. Justin is a Lead for the Water Environment Federation’s (WEF) Envision Taskforce and recently lead the development of WEF’s new Envision factsheet. Justin is a WEF Water Leadership Institute Alumni and an outreach volunteer with the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure. Justin has served as the Bay Area Clean Water Agencies Collection Systems Committee Chair and Recycled Water Committee Co-Chair. Justin is an Environmental Engineering (Honors) graduate from Deakin University, Australia and is a member of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals.

Victoria Evans brings over 40 years of experience in air quality, greenhouse gas (GHG), energy and environmental projects. She performed or directed over 150 GHG/carbon footprint and energy analyses for a diverse set of clients including water agencies, petrochemical, media/technology, chemical, building materials and consumer electronics companies and military installations. Victoria has helped clients GHG cap-and-trade regulatory compliance planning, carbon reduction strategies, Carbon Disclosure Project reporting, greenhouse gas inventories, carbon offset project evaluations, bioenergy assessments and renewable energy feasibility studies. She has conducted Life Cycle Analyses (LCA) and sustainability program evaluations for food products and consumer electronics.

Michaella W. Wittmann, LEED Fellow, ENV SP, Fitwel Ambassador, Director/Sustainability & Resiliency, HDR. Michaella has more than 20 years of experience focused on integrating the right sustainable solutions for a multitude of project types. She has worked for a broad range of clients—from Federal agencies, to state agencies, to universities, healthcare organizations, private companies and developers. She leads HDR’s Office of Sustainability, focusing on adding value to projects through sustainability, and overseeing the firm’s emissions reduction initiative.
Jennifer Ninete is a Sustainability Consultant for HDR’s Office of Sustainability. She is HDR’s primary knowledge manager for the Envision sustainable infrastructure framework, including co-presenting ENV SP trainings, facilitating Envision feasibility studies and working on Envision projects, such as Historic Fourth Ward Park in Atlanta, Georgia, and Southport Levee Improvement Project in West Sacrament, California. She has worked on more than 20 Envision projects and is an ISI-approved trainer and Envision verifier. Her role also focuses on marketing and communication for the company’s sustainability projects and internal sustainability initiatives, collaborating across all of HDR’s business sectors.
