SUMMARY:Water Task Force Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Water supply for the Santa Clara Valley has been long provided by a combination of local runoff\, stored groundwater\, State and Federal imported water\, recycled water\, and water conservation. Now\, with the Delta Conveyance Project is moving forward in some fashion\, Valley Water is exploring multiple water supply reliability and enhancement projects in parallel and is entering into an unprecedented level of partnerships to ensure its long term water supply role for the region. Through an update to its Water Supply Master Plan\, Valley Water is exploring how best to meet its long-term water supply reliability goals in a cost-effective manner. A new reservoir\, participation in regional reservoirs\, regional desal\, groundwater augmentation with recycled water\, water banking outside its own groundwater basin\, and expanded water conservation and stormwater capture projects are just some of the projects and programs being explored by Valley Water. \n\n\n\nNina Hawk\, Chief Operating Officer for the Water Utility Enterprise\, will present the various projects and programs being pursued by Valley Water.
