DESCRIPTION:Please join the East Bay Leadership Council for a conversation with Phillips 66's Rodeo Renewable Energy Complex on their transition from a refinery to a renewable fuels complex. We will learn how they made this change\, why\, and what types of low-carbon renewable fuels the complex produces\, including renewable diesel\, sustainable aviation fuel\, and renewable naphtha. Phillips 66 is also developing technologies that will improve the performance and life of batteries found in electric vehicles.\n\n\n\nOUR SPEAKER\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBobby Thomas is General Manager of Phillips 66's Rodeo Renewable Energy Complex. Thomas has over 28 years of experience in Refining\, Midstream\, and Chemicals. Previously\, Thomas was Operations Manager of the San Francisco Refinery. Prior to San Francisco\, Thomas held several leadership roles in Operations and Maintenance within Phillips 66 including Turnaround Superintendent\, Instrument Superintendent\, and Terminals Operations Superintendent at their Sweeny Refinery\, as well as Plant Supervisor and Terminal Supervisor within their Midstream organization. Thomas began his career as an operator with LyondellBasell in 1996. He was promoted to his first leadership role in 2000 and held several leadership roles in Operations and Maintenance before joining Phillips 66 in 2012. Thomas is originally from Santa Ana\, California\, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain Management from the University of Phoenix.
