This proposed 42 mile long bypass tunnel underneath the Delta is a potential major addition to the State Water Project. The project has been through a number of evolutions over the last couple of decades\, and is being re-envisioned again.\n\n \n\nAbout our Speaker:\n\nCarrie Buckman is the California Department of Water Resources Environmental Program Manager for Delta Conveyance\, responsible for environmental planning and permitting for a potential single-tunnel conveyance project. Prior to working for the Department of Water Resources Carrie was in the private sector for 21 years working on feasibility studies and environmental compliance for large water and restoration projects. She worked on planning efforts for Yolo Bypass fisheries restoration\, the San Joaquin River Restoration Program\, and Long-Term Water Transfers.
