DESCRIPTION:Join the East Bay Leadership's Infrastructure Task Force to learn about Envision 2040\, the Contra Costa County General Plan update\, and provide your insights on future economic development. This workshop will give EBLC members the opportunity to envision the future of our unincorporated communities and to highlight opportunities for growth. Following a short presentation from Contra Costa County staff\, attendees will engage in group sessions to share ideas on business development and expansion and how Envision 2040 can best plan for our future economy.\n\n\n\nWhat is the General Plan?\n\nThe General Plan outlines the County's goals for physical growth\, conservation\, and community life in the unincorporated area\, and contains the policies and actions necessary to achieve those goals. County staff members use the General Plan to guide decisions about zoning\, permitted development\, provision of public services\, and transportation improvements.
