SUMMARY:Infrastructure Task Force
DESCRIPTION:With a crowded statewide ballot this November\, EBLC's Infrastructure Task Force is providing an opportunity to learn about two measures with major implications for housing production\, infrastructure delivery\, and California's broader economy Proposition 1 and Proposition 45.\n\nThe presentation will provide a clear breakdown of what each proposition would do\, how they would work in practice\, and why they are especially important when considered together. Proposition 1 would provide significant new financing for affordable housing and related infrastructure\, while Proposition 45 would modernize CEQA and create more predictable timelines for environmental review\, permitting\, and project approvals across a range of essential projects.\n\nTogether\, the measures address two of the most persistent challenges facing housing and infrastructure development in California: securing the funding needed to move projects forward and reducing delays once projects are ready to proceed. The discussion will also look beyond housing to explore what these changes could mean for critical infrastructure and services across health\, transportation\, education\, energy\, water\, and the environment\, as well as economic development and the state's ability to deliver the projects communities depend on.\n\nOUR SPEAKERS\n\n\n\n\n\nJoshua Heller is a seasoned political consultant with 18 years of experience in federal\, state\, and local campaigns\, who is currently working on the Proposition 1 campaign.
