DESCRIPTION:The task force is set to for a presentation from Brad Paul and Rebecca Long of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission focused on the final CASA Compact approved in January 2019. Lunch will be provided.\n\n\n\nIf you are registered to attend and no longer able to attend\, please let us know. Space is limited and many EBLC members are hoping to attend.\n\n\n\n \n\n\nAbout the Speakers\n\n\n\nBrad Paul\, Deputy Executive Director\, Local Government Services\, MTC/ABAG\n\nBrad provides oversight and supervision of MTC/ABAG's Local Collaboration Programs: the San Francisco Estuary Partnership\, POWER\, BayREN and the Advancing California Finance Authority. Previously he served as the Acting Executive Director of ABAG\, leading the planning and service programs\, liaising with the region's city\, town\, and county managers and administrators. He has over thirty years of experience in community planning and development\, affordable housing\, and philanthropy. \n\n\n\nRebecca Long\, Government Relations Manager\, MTC/ABAG\n\nRebecca serves as MTC/ABAG's legislative analyst and advocate\, responsible for developing and implementing the annual legislative strategy. Rebecca led the effort to enact legislation and win voter support for a permanent $1 bridge toll increase for public transit and highway improvements. She develops and maintains relationships with legislators and staff in Sacramento and Washington\, D.C. and testifies at committee hearings on MTC's behalf.
