DESCRIPTION:Join EBLC's Health Task Force for a timely dialogue on advancing coordinated\, equitable approaches to aging in California and the East Bay. As demographic shifts continue to shape the region\, new challenges are emerging at the intersection of healthcare\, housing\, and aging. This discussion will explore demographic trends\, highlight state and federal services available to seniors\, and examine how growing housing needs are increasingly tied to senior care and stability. The conversation will also address the impacts of ongoing healthcare funding cuts on senior care and explore solutions to help strengthen and sustain critical support systems.\n\nOUR SPEAKER\n\n\n\nAna Acton is the Assistant Deputy Director of Policy\, Research\, and Engagement at the California Department of Aging\, where she works with federal and state partners\, as well as California's aging and disability networks\, to advance initiatives that improve the lives of older adults and people with disabilities. She brings extensive leadership experience in aging and disability policy and programs at both the state and local levels\, including serving as Executive Director of the FREED Center for Independent Living and as Deputy Director of the Independent Living and Community Access Division at the California Department of Rehabilitation.
