Water Task Force Update

In September, the Water Task Force heard from Nina Hawk of Valley Water.

The group learned more about the water supply challenges facing the Santa Clara Valley and how the East Bay may be engaged in the long-term solutions. Water supply for the Santa Clara Valley has been long provided by a combination of local runoff, stored groundwater, State and Federal imported water, recycled water, and water conservation.  Now, Valley Water is exploring multiple water supply reliability and enhancement projects in parallel and is entering into an unprecedented level of partnerships to ensure its long-term water supply role for the region.
