Water Task Force Update

On May 21st, the EBLC Water Task Force welcomed Catherine Freeman the Chief Consultant for the Assembly Water, Parks & Wildlife Committee. Ms. Freeman provided an update on water-related bills introduced during the 2019 legislative session and the status of the state budget process. The presentation included an overview of current legislative proposals including bills related to groundwater, dam safety, and water conservation and conveyance.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to hear about the new administration’s approach to water policies and Governor Newsom’s Executive Order on water. Ms. Freeman’s presentation is available on the Water Task Force page.
