Health Care Task Force Update

The EBLC Health Task Force convened on May 22^nd for an advocacy-focused discussion. The group heard from Co-Chairs, Rebecca Rozen and Debbie Toth, about the recent EBLC Sacramento Advocacy Day and their conversations with our local elected officials.

The group also reviewed highlights from Governor Newsom’s May Revised Budget and its potential implications for EBLC priority legislation. Lastly, the group discussed pending legislation including bills that address the shortage of mental health services (AB 1615), the certification of peer support specialists (SB 10) and the possibility of a grant program for College and Career Access Pathways (SB 563).
