Environmental and Manufacturing Task Force Update

The Environmental/Manufacturing Task Force met on August 2nd to discuss the development of a San Francisco Bay Regional Dredged Material Management Plan (RDMMP). The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is responsible for the development of this plan and for maintaining federal channels.

Josh Gravenmier, Vice President/Principal Scientist/Technical Expert with Arcadis, provided a detailed overview of the RDMMP and the corresponding Project Management Plan. He explained the importance of disposal sites when dredging and the need to manage dredging in an economically and environmentally sound manner.
